AI Disclaimer

Last updated: 22 March 2026 — Version 1.0
Critical Notice: ITLOX products incorporate artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. AI outputs are inherently probabilistic and must not be used as the sole basis for any professional, medical, legal, financial, operational, or safety-critical decision. Human oversight is always required.

1. Scope of This Disclaimer

This AI Disclaimer applies to all artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language model, generative model, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and automated decision-support features incorporated within any ITLOX product or service, including but not limited to:

  • SynthLabTech — AI-driven synthetic data generation, simulation, and industrial data modelling

By using any ITLOX product or service that incorporates AI functionality, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this disclaimer.

2. Nature of AI Outputs

Artificial intelligence systems, including those deployed within ITLOX products, operate on the basis of statistical pattern recognition and probabilistic inference. As a result:

  • AI outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose
  • AI systems may produce hallucinations — outputs that appear plausible but are factually incorrect, fabricated, or contextually inappropriate
  • AI models are trained on historical data and may not reflect current conditions, emerging risks, or recent developments
  • AI outputs may reflect biases present in training data, which may lead to skewed, unfair, or unrepresentative results in certain contexts
  • AI systems may fail silently, produce inconsistent results across similar inputs, or degrade in performance when applied to data that differs significantly from training distributions
  • Confidence scores, probability estimates, and certainty indicators produced by AI systems are statistical measures only and do not constitute guarantees

ITLOX continuously works to improve the accuracy and reliability of its AI systems; however, no AI system can be guaranteed to be error-free.

3. Critical Healthcare Warning — CareOSP

This section applies specifically to CareOSP and any ITLOX product used in healthcare, clinical, or life-sciences contexts.

CareOSP is a technology platform designed to support clinical workflows and healthcare operations. It is expressly not a medical device and does not constitute medical advice, clinical diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or any form of healthcare professional service.

  • All clinical decisions must be made exclusively by qualified, registered healthcare professionals using their professional judgement
  • AI-generated insights within CareOSP are decision-support tools only and must be reviewed, validated, and approved by a competent clinician before any clinical action is taken
  • CareOSP must not be used as the primary or sole basis for any diagnostic, therapeutic, prescribing, surgical, or patient management decision
  • In any situation involving patient safety, clinical emergency, or life-threatening conditions, established clinical protocols and the judgement of qualified healthcare professionals must always take precedence
  • Organisations deploying CareOSP are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, including but not limited to the Medical Devices Regulation (EU MDR 2017/745), the UK Medical Devices Regulations 2002 (as amended), and relevant clinical governance frameworks
  • ITLOX does not hold regulatory approval as a medical device manufacturer in any jurisdiction unless explicitly stated in a specific product agreement

If you believe you or another person requires medical attention, contact qualified healthcare services immediately. Do not rely on CareOSP or any ITLOX product in place of professional medical care.

4. Industrial and Operational Safety — SynthLabTech

SynthLabTech's AI-generated synthetic data, simulations, and predictive models are provided for research, development, testing, and analytical purposes. Users must be aware that:

  • Synthetic data generated by SynthLabTech is algorithmically produced and may not precisely replicate the statistical properties, edge cases, or failure modes of real-world operational data
  • Models trained on synthetic data must be validated against real-world data before deployment in production or operational environments
  • SynthLabTech outputs must not be used to make safety-critical engineering, infrastructure, or industrial control decisions without independent expert validation
  • ITLOX accepts no liability for losses, damages, accidents, or safety incidents arising from operational decisions made on the basis of SynthLabTech outputs without appropriate human expert oversight and validation

5. Cybersecurity Intelligence — AegisWire

AegisWire's AI-powered threat detection and security intelligence features are designed to assist cybersecurity professionals. Users must understand that:

  • AI threat detection may produce both false positives (flagging legitimate activity as threats) and false negatives (failing to detect genuine threats)
  • Security decisions, incident responses, and remediation actions must always be reviewed and approved by qualified cybersecurity personnel
  • AegisWire's AI outputs should form one component of a layered security strategy and must not be relied upon as the sole security control
  • ITLOX does not guarantee that AegisWire will detect all threats, vulnerabilities, or attack vectors

6. No Professional Advice

Nothing produced by any ITLOX AI system constitutes:

  • Medical, clinical, psychiatric, or health advice
  • Legal advice or the creation of a solicitor-client relationship
  • Financial, investment, tax, or accounting advice
  • Regulatory compliance advice
  • Engineering, structural, or safety-critical professional opinion

Always consult a qualified professional in the relevant field before making decisions that depend on such expertise.

7. Human Oversight Requirement

ITLOX designs its AI systems in accordance with the principle of meaningful human control. All users and deploying organisations are required to:

  • Implement appropriate human review processes for AI-generated outputs before acting upon them
  • Ensure that qualified personnel with domain expertise review and validate AI outputs in their respective fields
  • Maintain the ability to override, disregard, or escalate any AI-generated recommendation
  • Never deploy ITLOX AI features in fully automated, unsupervised decision-making pipelines where the output directly triggers consequential actions without human review, unless explicitly approved by ITLOX in writing

8. Regulatory Compliance

ITLOX is monitoring and actively preparing for compliance with emerging AI regulation, including the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) and related UK AI governance frameworks. Customers deploying ITLOX AI in regulated contexts remain independently responsible for:

  • Conducting their own AI risk assessments appropriate to the risk level of their deployment
  • Ensuring compliance with sector-specific AI regulations applicable to their industry and jurisdiction
  • Maintaining required documentation, audit trails, and conformity assessments where mandated
  • Notifying ITLOX where their intended use case may fall within a high-risk AI category under applicable regulation

9. Limitation of Liability for AI Outputs

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ITLOX expressly disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, harm, injury, or adverse consequence — whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — arising from:

  • Reliance on any AI-generated output, recommendation, prediction, classification, or analysis produced by any ITLOX product
  • Errors, inaccuracies, hallucinations, biases, or omissions in AI outputs
  • Failure of AI systems to detect threats, anomalies, risks, or adverse conditions
  • Decisions made on the basis of AI outputs without appropriate expert human review
  • AI model performance degradation due to data drift, distribution shift, or changed operating conditions

This limitation of liability is in addition to, and does not replace or diminish, the general limitations of liability set out in the ITLOX Terms of Service.

10. Reporting AI Errors

ITLOX is committed to the responsible development of AI. If you encounter AI outputs that you believe are inaccurate, harmful, biased, or otherwise problematic, please report them to contact@itlox.com with the subject line "AI Output Report". We investigate all reports and use feedback to improve our systems. Reports submitted in good faith will not result in any adverse action against the reporter.
